SENDING LIMITS

How many emails can be sent per user per hour?

For atmail cloud, you typically have access to 200 - 2,400 emails per user per rolling 24-hour period, depending on the spam score for each email being sent.

What is the send limit for atmail cloud?

atmail limits outbound emails in line with industry standards. Currently, our cloud limit is 100 external recipients per email sent.

Spamhaus RBL is now checked for SMTP connections. If your IP is listed on the XBL, SBL or CBL you will have reduced sending capacity.

What is the maximum size for attachments?

For atmail cloud, the current maximum size allowed per attachment is 25MB.

Does atmail cloud include anti-spam?

Yes. The atmail 8 cloud implements a premium anti-abuse system that may not allow email being sent that was allowable on the atmail 7 cloud.

Are there changes between the atmail 7 cloud and atmail 8 cloud API?

Yes. The atmail 8 cloud has a different API from atmail 7 cloud. Please refer to our Help Centre documentation here.

Are there changes between the atmail 7 cloud and atmail 8 cloud access points?
Yes. The atmail 8 cloud has different access points from the atmail 7 cloud. Please refer to our Help Centre documentation here.
Are there changes between the atmail 7 cloud and atmail 8 cloud DNS settings?
Yes. The atmail 8 cloud has different DNS requirements from the atmail 7 cloud. Please refer to our Help Centre documentation here (MX records) and here (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
Are there changes between the atmail 7 cloud and atmail 8 cloud iOS Profile settings?
 Yes. By default, iOS profiles are disabled. iOS profile must first be enabled via Webadmin > Services > Webmail Settings.

How do I manage my atmail email service?

Our web admin has a wizard that will walk you through on your first use. For further information, please refer to our Help Centre for step by step tutorials.

What is the limitation on the number of simultaneous connections with atmail cloud?

There is currently a limitation of 40 connections to the server from one IP address. This number may vary from what was allowed on your atmail 7 account. 

Will my custom logo from the atmail 7 cloud be migrated across with my accounts?

No. You will need to re-brand your new atmail 8 cloud instance. Refer to this guide for further details. 

How do I update my accounts quotas? 

The process to updates an accounts quota in atmail 8 cloud is vastly different from atmail 7 cloud. To update an accounts quota via the atmail 8 cloud, go to the Webadmin > Services > COS SERVICE > Account Expectations. Enter the full email of the address you want to change services for. Select Total Storage Quota (MB) as the service type. Enter your desired quota and add the exception.

SECURITY

Does atmail reject email from DKIM failure?

DKIM Failure for incoming mail is taken seriously - please contact support for requesting an exception for a sender or sender domain.

Does atmail reject email from SPF failure?

SPF Failure is taken seriously - please contact support for requesting an exception for a sender or sender domain.

What type of SSL Connections for SMTP and IMAP/POP are available?

 SSL Connections for SMTP and IMAP/POP now use the latest ciphers and TLS version 1.1 and 1.2 only. This may cause issues for older clients/OS versions.
