ATMAIL ON-PREMISE BUG UPDATE: There is a current known issue with the latest anti-virus signature database update causing the following error to fill logs and prevent restarting of services:

LibClamAV Error: mpool_malloc(): Attempt to allocate 8388608 bytes. Please report to http://bugs.clamav.net

Resolving this requires you to complete one of the following steps. Placed in order of atmail support preference.

  1. Upgrade to atmail 7.8, or at least atmail 7.7.1. Atmail 7.8/7.7.1 includes ClamAV 0.99.1 which does not have this ClamAV bug within.
    https://help.atmail.com/hc/en-us/articles/222654468-Upgrade-to-Atmail-7-8-0-Server-WebMail

  2. Upgrade ClamAV only to the latest stable release from ClamAV, 0.99.2.
    https://help.atmail.com/hc/en-us/articles/201186984-Updating-ClamAV-to-Latest-Stable-Release

  3. Recompile current version and disable auto updates.

Shutdown Services with the command /etc/init.d/atmailserver stop.

Move the current av directory to a temporary location, e.g.:
    mv /usr/local/atmail/av /usr/local/atmail/av.old

    Recompile clamAV with php /usr/local/atmail/server_source/scripts/buildav.php.

Replace the unedited config files with the preconfigured files from the original:

    mv /usr/local/atmail/av/etc/clamd.conf /usr/local/atmail/av/etc/clamd.conf.unedited
    mv /usr/local/atmail/av/etc/freshclam.conf /usr/local/atmail/av/etc/freshclam.conf.unedited
    mv /usr/local/atmail/av.old/etc/clamd.conf /usr/local/atmail/av/etc/clamd.conf
    mv /usr/local/atmail/av.old/etc/freshclam.conf /usr/local/atmail/av/etc/freshclam.conf

Disable updates to the virus definition database:

In the WebAdmin, go to the Services Tab -> Anti-Virus, and disable Enable Auto Update.

    Restart services with /etc/init.d/atmailserver start.

We're currently aware of some issues with routing globally, we beleive this is a route issue caused by an ISP somewhere in the world that is attempting to route traffic that it can not route. As a result, some clients/users may be unable to access their accounts. Sadly there is nothing we can do about it as this is an ISP issue, that may or may not be an issue for you.

ATMAIL CLOUD OUTAGE UPDATE: atmail cloud services are now active.

The outage we suffered was due to a disk that was failing on one of our core servers, as a result the server had issues when reading and writing from users mail directories.

Due to this, logins and mySQL connections were stacking up while the disk attempted to read/write data.

Outage time approx 8 hours.
