ATMAIL RENEWAL POLICIES
Renewal Policy for Atmail 6 customers
Atmail 6 End of Life will be the 30th of June 2014. End of life is defined as no further security patches and updates.
Atmail 6 license holders have the option not to renew their annual software assurance and continue to use their Atmail 6 software unsupported with no access to latest releases of Atmail. (Atmail 6 expired support license holders). If this option is elected then any later purchase of Atmail versions will be treated as a new standalone customer purchase.
If you have purchased Atmail 6 in the last 12 months or paid your annual software assurance fee then the following Policy will apply (Atmail 6 active support license holder).
Atmail 6 licenses can no longer be purchased or changed in any way.
All Atmail 6 active support license holders have access to a free loyalty upgrade to Atmail 7 in alignment with their original purchase price and expiry date. Atmail 6 will convert to Atmail 7 PRO with ActiveSync(EAS) or Atmail 7 PRO without ActiveSync(EAS) based on their current Active Atmail 6 license structure. Example: 1000 Atmail 6 users with 20 ActiveSync EAS users will become 980 Atmail 7 PRO (no ActiveSync EAS) users and 20 Atmail 7 PRO (with ActiveSync EAS) users.
Any changes to license requirements (additional users, class upgrades, or feature add-ons) will require upgrading to Atmail 7 standard subscription. These additions will be priced at the new Atmail 7 standard subscription price list and policy.
Atmail 6 active support customers can renew their software and support assurance at their original retail price for another year. This renewal must be done prior to their software assurance expiry date. Payment of this fee will entitle the license holder to continue to receive, technical support, access to the free upgrade to Atmail 7 (loyalty) and access to download the highest version of Atmail 6.
Free upgrades to later versions of Atmail will not be possible.
Renewal Policy for standard subscription Atmail 7 customers
Atmail 7 standard subscription customers will be required to renew annually prior to the licence expiring.
Renewals must be purchased before the expiry date in order to be accepted. Failure to renew the subscription license prior to expiry will result in the software no longer functioning. In this instance the license holder will be required to repurchase the required subscription license at the current relevant list price. Please note that the software will have displayed administration warnings 3 months prior to expiry.
Atmail 7 standard subscriptions include use of the software, technical support and version updates only.
Additional users can be purchased at any time pro-rata to the anniversary date. The per-user price will be based on the total number of users the system will have.
User number reduction is possible only at the time of the renewal by letting the original license expire and purchasing a new license.
Renewal Policy for Atmail 7 loyalty upgraded customers from Atmail 6
Atmail 6 customers who choose the free upgrade to Atmail 7 (loyalty) will be required to renew the Atmail 7 (loyalty) license annually prior to the license expiring. The cost of this renewal will in line with their original retail price.
This licence renewal must be completed prior to the expiry date in order to be accepted. Renewal orders placed after this date will be rejected. There are no exceptions. The software will have displayed admin warnings 3 months prior to expiry.

Atmail 7 (loyalty) licenses cannot be changed in any way. Any changes to license requirements (additional users, class upgrades, or feature add-ons) will require upgrading to Atmail 7 standard subscription.
