adding email aliases

PROBLEM
I need to setup email aliases for email routing.

ENVIRONMENT

  • atmail cloud

CAUSE
Requirement for alternate email routing.

RESOLUTION

  1. Go to webadmin > Services > Email Aliases.

  2. Select Alias Type.

    • Local Alias forwards emails from one account to the other.
    • Deliver locally and alias sends copies to both accounts.
    • Domain Alias (Catch-all) provides a default email address that "catches" any mail sent to an invalid email address on the domain.
    • Virtual Domain (Divert email from one domain to another alias) diverts email from one domain to another.
  3. Local Alias
    • Local Email Address
      Specify a local or virtual email account
    • Forward To
      Specify the local email address
  4. Deliver locally and alias
    • Local Email Address
      Specify a local email account
    • Forward To
      A copy will be stored on the local account, and forwarded to the address specified.
  5. Domain Alias (Catch-all)
    • Domain Name
      Select the domain to divert all emails from
    • Forward To
      Specify the local or remote email address
  6. Virtual Domain (Divert email from one domain to another alias)
    • Domain Name
      Specify the domain to route
    • Forward to Domain
      Specify the domain to forward messages
  7. Click onto add alias once information is supplied.
